We currently have vacancies for temporary/supply nursery staff. The role involves covering staff absences in nurseries with children aged 0 to 5 years old, this can be for the odd day or a block of weeks. The positions are very flexible with great rates of pay from £5.75 to £8.50 per hour which are paid weekly Candidates can be qualified or unqualified but will need some childcare experience, good references, their own transport and a CRB (if not be willing to pay for one). Temporary Full Time Nanny

Two families with 6 children between them would like a nanny to care for the children for a period of 7 weeks, Monday to Friday, 3pm to 7pm. The children are aged 2, 3 , 4, 5 and two are 7 years old. Duties will include collecting the older children from school, preparing meals, caring for the 2 and 3 years old during the day, carrying out all nursery duties and keeping the childrens toys tidy. Part Time Sole Charge Nanny

A part time qualified nanny is sought by a professional family who have two boys aged 4 months and 3 years old. The days required are Monday, Tuesday and half a day on a Wednesday. Duties will include caring for both children, all nursery duties, collecting the eldest child from nursery, planning educational and fun activities for the children, long walks and preparing the children's meals. Candidates will need to be experienced, caring, very active, energetic and enthusiastic, disciplined when needed, reliable and punctual. Two children aged 1 and 6 years old would like a nanny to care for them on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8am to 6pm. Duties will include all nursery duties, taking and collecting the eldest child to and from school, attending playgroups, music groups and going to the park, providing stimulating, exciting activities and preparing all meals. Part Time Nanny

Two children aged 9 and 7 years old would like a nanny to care for them from January. 2 to 3 days a week, 1pm to 7pm. Duties will include collecting children from school at 3.15pm, taking to after school activities (ballet, Brownies, Beavers etc), preparing home-cooked food, doing the children's laundering/ironing and keeping their rooms tidy (with the children’s help!) as well as  supervising home work. A professional family based in Cheltenham would like to employ a nanny to care for thie two young children aged 3 years and 17 months. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8am to 6pm. A family with three children aged 15, 14 and 8 would like a nanny to care for them after school and during the school holidays. 5 hours a day are required Monday to Thursday and 10 hours a day are required during the holiday. The family would like a caring and responsible Nanny who is a car owner as the children have after school activities most days (mileage expenses will be reimbursed). Special Needs Nanny

A 12 year old boy would like a nanny to care for him 16 hours a week including an over night stay. Wednesday 4pm to 7pm (term time only) and Staurday 7pm to 8am. The child has profound physical needs and compex health needs.  He has epilepsy which is controlled with anticonvulsants and has a severe gastro reflux which is also controlled with medication.  He is fed via a Gastrostomy but is allowed tastes for pleasure., he has medications several times a day and has three feeds via his Gastrostomy per day plus water boluses.  He has severe learning difficulties but has a communication aid (Mighty Mo) which he can use (if programmes are set up).  He is completely reliant upon his wheelchair.  The house is adapted to his specific needs, overhead hoist, shower room, step lift to front door.  Adapted vehicle.  He is a very warm sociable lad who loves the company of others and thrives on going out, either to parks, Mencap Youth Club, Hydrotherapy etc.  He is a wonderful boy who wants to have some fun. He also has a brother aged 4 who would need babysitting on occassion. candidates will need their own car, a childcare qualification as well as being bubbly, enthusiastic, outgoing and enjoying outdoor activities. Temporary Part Time Nanny

A boy aged 11 would like a nanny to look after him on a Monday 12.30am to 3.30pm and Tuesday 9.30am to 1.30pm for three months. He has Arthritis in his feet so is mobility at the moment is limited however it should improve. Duties will include supervising school work and projects, preparing snacks for him, driving him to private lessons and encouraging craft activities and exercises. A little boy aged 14 months would like a live in ad hoc nanny to care for him when his parents are away. The nursery is registered to take up to 24 chilren on a daily basis aged between 8 weeks and 5 years of age. The nursery currently has a vacnacy for a either a part time level 2 nursery assistant or a full time level 3 nursery nurse. candidates will need some nursery experience however training will be provided. knowledge of the Birth to Three matters framework and the foundation stage would an advantage. Monday to Friday, 30/ 40 hours per week. 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. A large, private day nursery in South Gloucestershire is looking to recruit a senior nursery nurse to run their 2 to 3's room which caters for 24 children on a daily basis. The position will involve the supervision of 5 other staff and overseeing the daily running of the room. Candidates will need good interpersonal skill, initiative, competence, at least three years nursery experience, a level 3 child care qualification as well as good leadership skills. Deputy Manager
Westonbirt, Gloucestershire

A 52 place day nursery based in a lovely setting would like to recuit a new deputy manager to start ASAP. The position will be based within the preschool unit which takes up to 25 children aged 3 to 5 years old so candidates must have a sound understanding of the foundation stage. Candidates will also need to have a level 3 qualification, strong leadership skills, the ability to work well with a team of 14 staff and be able to run the nursery in the adsence of the manager. This position would suit candidates who have previously worked within a senior/deputy nursery role. The nursery also offers lots of additional training and are interested in hearing from candidates who would like to work towards a level 4 qualification. Registration form

All child carers require a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau check). We are unable to put you forward for any positions without one. If you already have one please bring it with you to the interview. If your CRB is more than a year old then it will be necessary to apply for a new one which can be done through us. If you are successful in obtaining a position through we will refund half the cost of the CRB back to you.

Once we have seen all the documentation and checked references we will create a CV for you detailing all your career history plus information about you, your qualifications and your salary expectations. Your CV will be sent to parents and nurseries depending on the type of position you are looking for. We will keep in touch with you and discuss any new positions that become available. In turn we ask you to keep us updated on your situation, if you have found a position elsewhere or your requirements have changed then please let us know.

Pay

Rates of pay vary depending upon a child carer's experience. Where a child carer works for a family either on a temporary or permanent basis the rate of pay is between £6.50 to £10.00 per hour. When working for a family the family will pay the child carer directly. It is the employer's (the family) responsibility to make tax and National Insurance deductions and provide the child carer with a pay slip. Temporary nursery work is payable by Childcare Solutions. The hourly rate varies from £5.52 to £8.50 (gross) depending on qualifications and experience.
