We currently have vacancies for qualified or unqualified, temporary or permanent, nursery staff in the Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire ares and South Wales. The role involves covering staff absences in nurseries with children aged 0 to 5 years old, this can be for the odd day, a block of weeks or a permanent placement. We pay competive rates of pay for temporary staff, rates of pay for permanent placements are set by the employer, both temporary or permanent rates of pay  depends on qualifications.

We also have vacancies for nannying roles both full and part-time, LIVE IN/LIVE OUT in the Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset areas and South Wales.

All candidates  are required to register with us before we can introduce them to our clients. You will have had childcare experience, the amount will depend on the role. You must be able to provide good relevent references, hold proof of ID, ideally own your own transport and for temporary posts, you must hold proof of a CRB check which is within twelve months of issue date, or be willing to pay for one. To register with us, please email a covering letter and your CV ( word format please).

 LEVEL 3 NURSERY NURSE (term time only, permanent)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced level 3 Nursery Nurse to join a nursery in the North Somerset area. The role is for 'term time' only and permanent.  Candidates will need childcare experience, hold a CACHE level 3 quaification or equivalent, be able to provide good references, have their own transport or live close to a direct bus route. LEVEL 3 NURSEY NURSE (Full time, Permanent)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced level 3 Nursery Nurse to join a nursery in the North Somerset area. EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER (full time, permanent)

We  have a vacancy for a level 3 Early Years Practitioner in the central area of Bristol. Full time, Hours: Mon - Thurs 8.00 am - 5.00pm, Fri 8.00am - 6.00pm.  This is a permanent position and candidates must have at least 2 years experience, be able to provide references and have their own transport. The ideal candidate will be fit and energetic, be patient with children, have organisational skills and have a good command of the english language both written and verbaly. NANNY/MOTHERS HELP (permanent)

We  have a vacancy for an experienced 'live out' Nanny/Mothers help  to help in the South Gloucestershire area, 30 hours per week, This is a permanent position and candidates must have at least 2 years experience and be able to provide up to date references, hold a current driving licence,  own or have use of a car, and be reasonbly flexible with times. Duties will include:- School runs, cooking, housework etc. Please apply by email adding a covering letter and your CV.

LEVEL 3 NURSERY PRACTITIONER (Temporary)

We have a vacancy for a temporary, unqualified, Nursery assistant in a pre-school setting in the South Gloucestershire area. Full time position, 8.00am - 5.00pm. Candidates must be experienced, be able to provide references, have a current CRB (or be willing to pay for one) and have own transport. Registration Process

To register with Childcare Solution South West you will need:

To be at least 18 years of age, hold a childcare qualification or have a least two years experience for nannying and at least one years experience for nursery nursing.

To register just complete our online registration form and email or post it back to us. Once we have received your form we will be in touch to arrange an interview. We are available to conduct interviews in the evening and at weekends as well as during the week. To complete registration you will need to supply use with:-

A copy of your CV
Two forms of ID (i.e. passport, driving licence, birth certificate)
Proof of address, utility bill etc.
Certificates
A passport photo
Contactable childcare references plus any written references.

Registration form

All child carers require a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau check). We are unable to put you forward for any positions without one. If you already have one please bring it with you to the interview. If your CRB is more than a year old then it will be necessary to apply for a new one which can be done through us. If you are successful in obtaining a permanent position through us we will refund half the cost of the CRB back to you.

Once we have seen all the documentation and checked references we will create a CV for you detailing all your career history plus information about you, your qualifications and your salary expectations. Your CV will be sent to parents and nurseries depending on the type of position you are looking for. We will keep in touch with you and discuss any new positions that become available. In turn we ask you to keep us updated on your situation, if you have found a position elsewhere or your requirements have changed then please let us know.

If a client would like you to attend an interview we will notify you immediately to arrange a suitable time for you to meet. We have information sheets available which give you tips on attending an interview which we are happy go through with you. If you have any questions or would like some help with interview techniques just ask.

Pay

Rates of pay vary depending upon a child carer's experience. Where a child carer works for a family either on a temporary or permanent basis the rate of pay is between £6.50 to £10.00 per hour. When working for a family the family will pay the child carer directly. It is the employer's (the family) responsibility to make tax and National Insurance deductions and provide the child carer with a pay slip. Temporary nursery work is payable by Childcare Solutions. The hourly rate varies from £6.25 to £8.50 (gross) depending on qualifications and experience.
