We currently have vacancies for temporary/supply nursery staff in Bristol and Gloucestershire. The role involves covering staff absences in nurseries with children aged 0 to 5 years old, this can be for the odd day or a block of weeks. The positions are very flexible with great rates of pay from £6.00 to £8.50 per hour which are paid weekly Candidates can be qualified or unqualified but will need some childcare experience, good references, their own transport and a CRB (if not be willing to pay for one). Nanny / Mothers help Positions

Tetbury, Gloucestershire
Part Time, After School Nanny

A little girl aged 6 would like a nanny to collect her from school on a Wednesday from mid September. The normal hours will be 3.30 until 6.30pm however when dad is abroad the nanny will need to stay until 9.00pm. A car owner /driver is required as a school pick up is needed however mileage will be paid. Supper will also need to be given and bath/bedtime routine carried out if working until 9pm. £10.00 per hour. Ref: GL/LG

Part Time Nanny (daily or live in)


A nanny is sought by a single dad who has a 2 children aged 5 and 11 years old to start at the beginning of October. A live in Nanny would be preferred however dad will also consider a nanny who lives locally. The ideal hours will be 7.30am to 9am and the 3.15 to 6pm with some overnight stays. Flexibility is a must as dad cannot always guarantee that he will be home by 6pm, dad also works aboard and may be away for 3 days at a time. More hours will be required during the school holidays. A qualified nanny is sought by a family with 2 boys aged 2 and 4 years old. The days required are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (25 to 35 hours a week). Duties will include all nursery duties, collecting the children from school and the child minders as well as preparing the children's evening meal. A nanny with their own child will be required however a car owner is a must (mileage will be paid). The ideal nanny will also be orgainised, flexible and experienced. A professional couple with 4 boys aged 11, 8, 5 and 3 would like to employ a nanny to start 1st September. The days required are a Monday and Wednesday 11.30 until 7pm with a Friday also being needed 6 times a year (term time) and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 36.5 hours a week during the holidays. Duties will include all nursery duties, care of the youngest child, collecting the older children from school and clubs, helping with home work and preparing meals. Part Time Mother Help (ongoing temporary position)

A busy mum with a 2 year old and a newborn baby would like a mothers help to start asap. Help is required 3 hours a day on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the position is to run for at least 6 months and may be extended. Duties will mostly involve keeping the 2 year old entertained whilst mum cares for the newborn, some sole charge care of one or both of the children may be required. The ideal candidate will be qualified, friendly, imaginative, personable and patient as well as being a driver. Mum would also prefer someone from a cat free home as she is very allergic. Nursery Nurse

A qualified nursery nurse is sought by our client who runs a large nursery in Bradley Stoke. The position will be based in the with children aged o to 5 years old and will involve planning activites in accordance with the EYFS, supervising meal and play times, carrying out and observations and completing developmental records for a key group of children as well as liaising with staff members and parents. Candidates will need a level 3 child care qualification, experience of working with children aged 0 to 5 years old as well as being organised, hard working and forward thinking. 40 hours per week between 7.30am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. A friendly 80 place private day nursery based in North Somerset would like to recruit a nursery nurse to join their team. Candidates do need to be qualified, holding at level 3 qualification and have some experience within a similar setting with children aged from 0 to 5 years of age. The baby unit is spilt into 2 rooms with 9 babies in each room aged from 0 to 2 years of age. Duties will include working along side 2 others members of staff, planning activities, carrying out observations, carrying out all nursery duties, creating wall displays, completing learning diaries for key children, liaising with parents and other staff members and helping to ensure that the daily routine is followed. 42 hours per week. £13,000 per annum. Senior Early Years Practitioner

A friendly 80 place private day nursery based in North Somerset would like to recruit a Senior Early Years Practitioner. Candidates do need to be qualified holding at level 3 qualification in childcare as well as pocessing strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have nursery experience with children of all ages as well as experience of the EYFS. A Large, busy nursery is looking to recruit a new Base Room Manager with a level 3 childcare qualification to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience within a supervisory role and be able to manage a small team overseeing all paperwork and the EYFS. This lovely nursery is seeking a Room Manager (level 3 qualified) to oversee 2 baby rooms with 9 babies in each room.  Duties will include running the rooms, ensuring that daily routines are followed, planning and implementing activities in accordance with the EYFS, carrying out oberservation, completing learning diaries, working along side other members of staff and liaising with parents/carers on a daily basis. To register with Childcare Solution South West you will need:

To be at least 18 years of age, hold a childcare qualification or have a least two years experience for nannying and at least one years experience for nursery nursing.

To register just complete our online registration form and email or post it back to us. Once we have received your form we will be in touch to arrange an interview. We are available to conduct interviews in the evening and at weekends as well as during the week. To complete registration you will need to supply use with

Two forms of Id (i.e. passport, driving licence, birth certificate)
Proof of address
Certificates
A passport photo
Contactable childcare references plus any written references.

Registration form

All child carers require a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau check). We are unable to put you forward for any positions without one. If you already have one please bring it with you to the interview. If your CRB is more than a year old then it will be necessary to apply for a new one which can be done through us. If you are successful in obtaining a permanent position through us we will refund half the cost of the CRB back to you.

Once we have seen all the documentation and checked references we will create a CV for you detailing all your career history plus information about you, your qualifications and your salary expectations. Your CV will be sent to parents and nurseries depending on the type of position you are looking for. We will keep in touch with you and discuss any new positions that become available. In turn we ask you to keep us updated on your situation, if you have found a position elsewhere or your requirements have changed then please let us know.

If a client would like you to attend an interview we will notify you immediately to arrange a suitable time for you to meet. We have information sheets available which give you tips on attending an interview which we are happy go through with you. If you have any questions or would like some help with interview techniques just ask.

Pay

Rates of pay vary depending upon a child carer's experience. Where a child carer works for a family either on a temporary or permanent basis the rate of pay is between £6.50 to £10.00 per hour. When working for a family the family will pay the child carer directly. It is the employer's (the family) responsibility to make tax and National Insurance deductions and provide the child carer with a pay slip. Temporary nursery work is payable by Childcare Solutions. The hourly rate varies from £5.75 to £8.50 (gross) depending on qualifications and experience.
